Provided dinner music for new residents of Villa Grande of Sarasota last week. Beautiful new building at the southeast corner of Beneva and Fruitville. Great hospitality from the staff and nice comments on the music from the residents. Played both classical and jazz, and would love the opportunity to play there again!
I’m in the process of doing an arrangement of Ludlow’s Theme from Legends of the Fall for an upcoming wedding on November 26th. There was no guitar music available, so I’m adapting a solo piano arrangement for the guitar. So far, so good! It’s a beautiful piece. If you haven’t heard it yet, go to ……
This was a fundraiser for the Charlotte Symphony that took place at the Isle Yacht Club. Played this gig with Bob Lunergan on drums, Tom Ellison on saxs, and Irv Goldberg on bass. Lots of fun playing standard jazz tunes. Will be there again on December 10th!
Played a lovely wedding at TPC Prestancia, Sarasota today. Cloudy, but luckily ~ no rain. Beautiful bride, impressive country club. Looking forward to the next gig on Monday!
This evening I performed for Oaks CC members returning to Florida from their summer residences. I played a variety of music, including classical, pop, and bossa nova. The venue is perfect for what I do! Beautiful surroundings and an appreciative audience.
This is my first time blogging! I’m going to tell you about my performance experiences: types of music that I played, the venue, the response from the audience, and anything else that I think you might enjoy reading about. Please feel free to comment!
