Playing on Monday night for the fourth time for their Lights in the Gardens was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had! The crowd was appreciative of the music, and fun to play for. Seeing old and new friends is always a bonus too! One more night, tonight ~ so come on out if ……

Venice Presbyterian Church on Christmas Eve

I had the privilege of playing at the Venice Presbyterian Church for their 8:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve. The music was beautiful, and the other musicians were terrific to work with. Their young vocalist had the poise and confidence of a trained professional, and was also a pleasure to accompany in “Mary, Did You ……

Selby Gardens ~ Lights in Bloom

I’ve done two performances at Selby Gardens for their beautiful Lights in Bloom, and have three more to do on the 21st, 26th and 27th. If you haven’t had a chance to get out to see this, please do! Both the Gardens and the surrounding homes are lit up and decorated beautifully. It’s a pleasure ……

Clearwater Beach Holiday Party

Really enjoyed performing in a beautiful Clearwater Beach condominium overlooking the gulf for Tom M and his friends on Friday, 12/16! It’s nice to have my music well received. The time that I spent arranging Christmas music for jazz guitar was well worth it.

Wednesday Quartet Gig

I had the pleasure of playing yesterday with my good friends – John Miller, Bob Lunergan and George Mancini at Cohen Hall in Sarasota. This was a lunchtime event that was well attended and received. Great tune selections including jazz and holiday music. I’m looking forward to playing with these guys again!

Holiday Party at Isles Yacht Club

Great music put together by George Mancini last night at the Isles Yacht Club in Punta Gorda. Looking forward to playing with George again, along with the Jazz Quartet, at Cohen Hall in Sarasota this Wednesday at noon.

Thursday at Sawgrass Cove – Bradenton

I had a really great time playing for the people at the new Sawgrass Cove Apartment Grand Opening in Bradenton on Thursday night. The place is beautiful, and Jeff was very accommodating with my performance. If you haven’t had a chance to go there, and are looking for a place to live – take a ……

Friday on St. Armand’s

Had an interesting night performing on St. Armand’s Friday night. It was a great opportunity to play some of my jazz and holiday tunes. Also really nice to see old friends that come back to see me every year!

SCF Last Thursday Night

The SCF Jazz Bands and I got a great write up by Richard Storm in Saturday’s Sarasota Herald Tribune! Check it out if you get a few minutes – the title is “Jazz Heritage is in Good Hands.” Here’s the link – but you’ll have to scroll way down to get the story.

Great Job SCF Bands!

I had the pleasure of directing my two jazz bands at State College of Florida tonight! Everyone did an outstanding job, and I’m proud to teach them. If you ever want to know when they’ll be playing again, send me a return comment, and I’ll make sure I let you know in plenty of time.
